My entry for 
's "Road so Far" contest.
This is essentially what came to mind when I think about what the winchesters have been through: bloodshed. Both at their hands and at the hands of those around them, the winchesters have been surrounded by more and more death as the series has gone on. The loss and destruction of life has changed them and drained them, an that is what I wanted to show with my pallid Dean wading in all the death he's caused and witnessed.
